Metropolitan Culinary Arts Institute (MCAI) offers a new, accelerated Culinary Boot Camp that provides 48 hours of focused, hands-on classes for intermediate cooks. Chef instructors will teach the essentials of advanced culinary focusing on skills and recipes through restaurant level techniques.

Students earn a Certificate of Completion, and if desired, job placement assistance.

Week 1: Knife Skills, Basic Recipes & ServSafe Food Safety Training

Master essential knife techniques, learn foundational recipes, and receive ServSafe training to ensure food safety knowledge.

Week 2: Stocks, Sauces, & Soups

Discover the art of creating flavorful stocks, sauces, and soups—the building blocks of all great cuisine.

Week 3: Cooking Methods with Meats, Poultry & Fish

Gain expertise in various cooking techniques and apply them to meats, poultry, and fish to create classic, delicious dishes.

Week 4: Baking & Pastry

Learn the basics of baking and pastry, covering essential techniques to round out your culinary skill set.

Week 5: Skill Review with New Recipes

Put your knowledge to the test by revisiting core techniques with new, exciting recipes.

Week 6: Advanced Skill Review & Final Recipes
