Meet MCAI Student Shaun
Shaun's Story
Shaun joined MCAI for our Fall 2024 semester. He currently attends school during the day Monday through Friday 9am-5pm and works evenings and weekends. Shaun worked hard to save for his tuition, and has applied to the RAMW EducatedEats.org scholarship, hoping for at least $1K towards his education.
His goal is to work in a fine dining restaurant one day. We ask that you donate to Shaun's tuition via DonorBox above to defray the cost of $15,500. All donors will be invited to the Graduation lunch, and your name or organization will be displayed on our website, newsletter and school donation wall.

MCAI is both a for-profit post-secondary professional culinary school and a 501c3 nonprofit.
MCAI is focused on improving the food service workforce within the DC Metro area, and we are certified to operate in Virginia by the State Council of Higher Education (SCHEV) and we are an American Culinary Federation (ACF) APPROVED program candidate.
Everyone who applies is entitled to tuition remission based on the amount of donations we are able to secure. MCAI 501c3's goal is to offer the same amount of tuition remission to each student. The difference in the cost of tuition is the responsibility of the student. Tuition remission will not exceed more than $10K per student. It is completely at the discretion of the managing directors of MCAI 501c3 to determine how much will apply to each student - and it will always be in the same amount for each student.
We will in no way discriminate based on income, level of education, work history, etc.
Not all students are obligated to accept tuition remission.
